The most comfortable stylish shoes

By

Whether you are dressing for a day on the job or a night on the town, a comfortable pair of shoes can make all the difference in how enjoyable your time is. If you’re like me, and most other women, you’ve spent countless occasions suffering for style. Well I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to girls!

My personal favorites: for open-toed (I’ve tried platforms and flip-flops and both were a dream) the leather, super comfy Born can’t be beat, and for boots, Sprinkles by Stuart Weitzman with GORE-TEX* is not just easy on the feet, it offers the dryness of a rain boot in a sleek, fitted, knee-high stiletto. You won’t want to get them wet but trust me, you can! You won’t miss a beat in your step to avoid the elements...These babies stand up to a super puddle in a rainstorm and that sloshy gray stuff we snow-divas are cursing during our commute.

Chicago wardrobe stylist Michelle Jeremias says some of her favorite brands for blending comfort with style are Me Too, Miz Mooz and Tory Burch.

“Me Too is a brand I discovered on Zappos, and I have two pairs. The flat and 4" heel are equally comfortable and chic,” she says. What makes Me Too superior is the brand’s padded insole. “Its like walking on pillows. I have never gotten blisters from shoes by this brand,” she says.

Miz Mooz is another one of Jeremias’ favorite brands. “After trying on 20 pairs of black boots at Nordstrom (this is not an exaggeration) I decided on a pair of black boots by Miz Mooz,” she says. After four years, she says they still look like new. “I can walk for miles in these boots and get compliments from strangers all of the time.”

Jeremias says Tory Burch has always been a love of hers. “I am constantly telling my clients how much I adore these shoes,” she says. The ballerina flat is a favorite. From her classic logo to an elastic back which prevents unwanted blisters, it’s a winning pick. “They are unbelievably comfortable, versatile and fantastic during those in between months of spring and autumn,” she says.

Another of her Tory Burch favorites is the wedge. “You would think a wedge that is almost 4" high would be incredibly uncomfortable yet this is not the case -- I could run in these wedges,” she says. From cocktail parties to executive events, these shoes fit the bill and never feel uncomfortable.

San Francisco image consultant Orene Kearn says the most comfortable and stylish ankle boots she has ever owned, and that she could walk all day in, are mad by Ecco. “I have feet on the narrow side and manyother so-called comfort brands are too wide for my feet,” she says. Ecco shoes come in many styles, and can be found Macy's and Zappos, and many other retailers

Kearn says another brand that she finds very comfortable is a European brand called All Black. “Their flats are especially comfortable, and let my feet breathe in them because I usually don't wear them with socks,” she says. Some boutiques in the U.S. carry these shoes, and Endless carries a huge selection online.

We don’t need to sacrifice comfort for style (and vice versa)! We don’t want to end up with foot problems in the future do we?
